Seven Rules for Booking a Hotel

Posted by alicia kersebet on

Frequent traveler Steve Stanger and his wife, Arlene, have made a perceptive and hilarious list of seven things to avoid when you book lodging for a trip.
They recommend NOT staying in a motel/hotel that has any of the following:
1. A number in the name
2. Any word, prefix, or a connotation that indicates inexpensive
3. Unpaved parking lot
4. Sells bait
5. Advertises carpeting, air conditioning, TV, Cable, or HBO on its sign
6. Has a sign in the lobby window that reads, "Truckers Welcome."
7. Advertises short-term rates, i.e. weekly or monthly
As illustrated by Steve's photo, The Sands is a no-go.
