My husband, Joel, and I couldn't imagine living anywhere else. With the dramatic change of each season in Door County, there's a new energy, a sense of renewal. Of course, we eagerly anticipate the glorious reds, oranges and yellows of fall leaves covering the landscape, but the drop in temperature also holds its charm.
Putting on that extra layer of a fluffy sweater or a toasty flannel shirt ushers in a feeling of comfort and coziness. It's time to take a hike and crunch leaves underfoot as we welcome the refreshing chill in the air.
Our rural lifestyle belongs to fall with the harvest of pumpkins, apples and gourds -- and in the many festivals that celebrate the season. We hope that if you visit the County in October that you'll stop by Ecology and say hello. We have some fun events of our own planned for this month. Please check our website's new calendar for details.
